strawberries and goat cheese salad


For the salad:
Organic salad greens, baby spinach recommended
2 1/2 cups sliced organic strawberries
1/3 cup fresh chives, cut into 2-inch pieces
1/2 cup toasted walnuts or pecans
1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese

For the vinegarette:
1 tbsp. brown sugar
2 tbsp. red wine vinegar
1 tbsp. olive oil
1/4 tsp. salt
freshly ground pepper to taste


1. To make the vinegarette: whisk brown sugar, vinegar, oil, salt, and pepper in small bowl.
2. Assemble salad.
