slow cooker pulled pork

Ingredients

5 lb. Pork shoulder or butt
BBQ sauce (my suggestion is Sweet Baby Ray's Honey BBQ, although homemade is always best)
4-6 Kaiser rolls

Instructions

1. Pour 1/2 cup of water in Crock-Pot. Place the pork in your Crock-Pot.
2. Cook for 7-10 hours on low.
3. Remove pork from crock pot and let it cool for 10 minutes.
4. Remove all fat. Then place the pork back in the crock pot.
5. Use two forks to shred the pork.
5. Add BBQ sauce to taste.
6. Place pork between a Kaiser roll.

  1. Hey! So I made this, but changed a few things....
    1) I seasoned the meat (shoulder) with salt & pepper before I cooked it in the water plus a bottle of Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce.
    2) after 7 hrs. I emptied the crock pot, pulled apart the pork, discarded the fat. Put meat back in crock pot and stirred with new bottle of BBQ sauce plus 2 tbsn of cider vinegar. Simmered on low for another 45 min or so.

    YUM!
